Very powerful and beautiful natural vanilla absolute: an exceptionally beautiful product of great power and tenacity. Used in traces to enrich and sweeten virtually any fragrance type but vital in most gourmands. Vanilla absolute preserves the complexity and animalic undertones of the vanilla bean which is lost in production of the so-called ‘oleoresin’ of vanilla.

Arctander writes extensively about vanilla in all its forms describing vanilla absolute as “The highest concentration of vanilla aroma (perfume and flavour)”.

Notoriously difficult to dissolve, the absolute is presented here at 50% in a solution of half ethanol, half DPG in order to make it easier to handle.  For blending use we recommend further dilution to 1% prior to use and this mixture will require a bit of shaking prior to use to ensure an even consistency.
